Today, the Coronavirus epidemic is putting pressure on our Intensive Care Units. The infections resulting from contracting the virus are mainly viral pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which both require artificial ventilation in an ICU. In this unprecedented situation, 101 Fund has decided to raise funds to "Help ICUs help you".

To better understand the illness and enable the medical staff to ensure the best possible care for patients in vital distress, Slack France has decided to join 101 in supporting ICUs.

Founded in 2018 by Pr. Jean-Daniel Chiche (resuscitation and intensive care - Cochin Hospital in Paris), 101 aims to save 1 million lives in 4 years. To do this, 101 has developed an innovative strategic "data-driven" programme, divided into three main objectives: Better patient care, Better understanding and Better support. This programme has been deployed across its global network of affiliated ICUs (today counting more than 1200 centres all around the world) that all share the same goal, to reduce the mortality rate of patients in intensive care.

By donating to 101, you will be helping ICU professionals offer a second life to all those whose lives are immediately in danger and offer to all the best chances of a full recovery.

Help ICUs help you.

At a time where the Coronavirus – COVID19 – puts pressure on our ICU teams around France and the world, at a time where the public opinion is starting to understand the meaning of “intensive care”, 101 needs you.

By staying at home and by respecting the government’s measures, you will delay the propagation of the epidemic. But you can equally transform yourselves into “superheroes” by helping us save lives.

The survival of patients who have contracted severe forms of the virus depends on the quality of symptomatic treatment in ICUs and the capacity of accelerating research efforts. By donating to 101, you will help ICU professionals offer a second life to those whose lives are immediately threatened and offer them the best chance of a full recovery. Together, we will defeat this epidemic and save lives.
